UK Armed Forces rugby union teams set for North of England XV battles in June

Watch: Highlights from the 2023 fixture which saw the UK Armed Forces men's team lose out by 18 points.

The UK Armed Forces rugby union teams will take part in a charity event in June in aid of Military v Cancer.

Last year, the UKAF men's team took on a North of England XV at Newcastle Falcons' Kingston Park and the fixture formed a key part of their Forces World Cup preparations.

After the success of the event, UKAF will now see two fixtures played on the day with the men's and women's teams in action.

The action will take place in Newcastle just a week before Armed Forces Day which this year is on Saturday 29 June.

The women's match will kick off at 13:00 UK time on Saturday 22 June while the men will play at 15:15 on the same day.

Tickets to attend the matches will be free for serving personnel and veterans.
