Zelensky honours frontline war heroes with combat medals

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky presented medals to "distinguished" combat troops during an official visit to the Kupiansk-Lyman area.
Mr Zelensky met troops from the 103rd Territorial Defense Brigade, 68th Jaeger Brigade, and 25th Airborne Brigade, all currently carrying out combat missions in the area.
The president inspected the equipment provided to the units by Western allies and presented awards to service members and combat medics for their service.
Ukraine's leader inspected the unit's new Leopard 2 tanks and CV90 infantry fighting vehicles, which were used in battles in the Kupiansk area.
President Zelensky said: "It is my honour today to award our soldiers who distinguished themselves during the defence of our state.
"It is a special honour to award combat medics. Thank you for protecting Ukraine and Ukrainians.
"This is the most important mission. I wish only victory," he added.

Leopard 1 battle tanks were provided to Ukraine by Germany, and it has been praised by serving troops for its frontline capabilities.
The country has also received M1A1 Abrams tanks from the US.
Ukrainian troops on the frontline of the war against Russia are also benefiting from the CV90 armoured combat vehicle, which was developed by the Swedish Armed Forces.
