Red Arrows back in business as they join the Patrouille de France at Le Touquet airshow

The Red Arrows returned to the skies as they flew in formation behind the French Alpha Jets at the Le Touquet airshow in France at the weekend.

They had been grounded after the RAF paused flying both the T2, used to train fast-jet pilots, and the older T1 model flown by the Red Arrows, as a precautionary measure following a crash involving a T2 jet in Wales on 21 September.

Two pilots flying a training aircraft were treated for minor injuries after they ejected from their plane before it crashed in Anglesey, flying from RAF Valley.

Investigators have yet to establish why the aircraft crashed.

On Saturday morning, the Red Arrows flew their iconic Hawk T1 as part of a display for the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight members' day at RAF Coningsby.
