Royal Marine wins gold to cap off superb start to bobsleigh season

Marine Taylor Lawrence has made an incredible start to the 2022/23 bobsleigh season by winning medals in his first two races for Great Britain.

In the two-man race, Mne Lawrence finished in second place alongside Brad Hall as the team from Switzerland finished in first.

However, in the four-man event, GB finished on top of the podium with Mne Lawrence, Hall, Rory Willicombe and Arran Gulliver all collecting gold medals.

This is the first event of the new season and the positive result in Canada sets a benchmark for GB's aims.

It's also an impressive debut result for new members Willicombe and Gulliver who only joined the team this year.
